When I first stepped into self-employment, what I craved most was clarity to ground myself into during the chaos of the transition.

I couldn’t even see the forest, much less enjoy the view, because I had my nose pressed firmly against the bark of the closest tree.

I spent a lot of time struggling to prioritize my goals and self-imposed tunnel vision kept me from building as quickly as I wanted. It took months of trial and error to reshape my life (and my relationship to work) so I could heal the burnout that had plagued my past.

I needed help pulling my face off that tree so I could explore the beautiful forest that I found myself in. Getting lost in the wilderness of my own making made it clear how important it is to have a guide.

Approaching self employment differently gave me the power to show up more authentically and abundantly. I needed random side quests to break up the structure of my system-oriented life. My mind was begging for a way of working that honored my strengths, cycles and unique perspective.

I needed to make space for the little things that made life enjoyable — a midday iced latte and nature retreat, a spontaneous weekday spent at estate sales and the ability to meet soul-connected clients who had the same types of dreams that I did.

I wanted someone who had been in my shoes to tell me what truly mattered, what to let go of and how to best align my efforts with my natural cycles.

I wanted help refining my wild ideas into an organized list of impactful steps.
